If you are someone who is discreetly called a larger lady by today’s media it can be a bit hard to find clothes that send out the vibe that you want. There is a huge selection of plus size clothes and lingerie but they are just that: plus size. Most of the models are not designed in any way to bring out the best in a curvy woman.

The pattern on your clothes is something that you are going to want to think about as well. Large images should be avoided since they will make you look heavier. You can get away with small images but in general solid colours are a better option. Vertical stripes will make you look thinner. However for some reason there are very few plus size styles that actually have vertical stripes. Horizontal stripes need to be avoided at all costs. They will make you look both shorter and wider. Hardly a flattering look for a larger lady.

Plus size clothing nowadays are expertly designed to flatter the fuller figure as Curves brings forth a carefully considered collection of trend-led and that is plus size fashion. From dresses and jeans to tops, trousers and more, oversized consumers look to spring for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of a brighter day plus size clothing. They have learned how color can help them alter a mood and deliver the energy and enthusiasm that enables them to experiment with new looks and color combination.

For most women, fashionable clothing has always been a prerequisite in order to look good and catch attention. In everyday living, clothing played an important role in a woman’s life. Petite or full – figured, certain types of outfit are designed to fit a specific activity or type of the day. Furthermore, plus size clothing for women are made to facilitates voluptuous women’s fashionable clothing needs.

The Plus Size Clothing Stereotype Let’s face it, when you think of the words ‘plus size dresses’, what springs to mind first? For me, I often form a mental picture of a large woman wearing a dress similar to a tent that’s covered in a floral pattern. This screams stereotype, I know, however based on my own findings it’s really quite difficult to find plus size dresses that fit well and are actually stylish. There is something currently undocumented that happens around sizes 14-16 (also known as the borderline between plus size and “regular”) that turns the guidelines of clothing design completely upside down, with the end result being that apparently, we want to wear flowery tents.

An empire style dress looks good on plus size figures and straight size. The raised waist gives the illusion of a smaller waist and the skirt falls flatteringly over the hips and thighs. Another pretty choice is the fit and flair style. Plus size dresses in this style are popular with retro themed weddings. A fit and flare dress has a fitted bodice and full skirt. This style of dress was very popular in the 1950′s. A wide contrasting belt adds to the illusion of a smaller waist. Fit and flare dresses flatter both full size and straight size figures.

Maxi plus size dresses are very hot this season, and this trend is showing signs of staying around for a while. SWAK has a very lovely Carol Watercolor maxi dress that has flutter sleeves, a high waist and comes in a pastel taupe floral pattern and a tie-dyed look blue pattern that is sleeveless. Both styles flatter the curvy figure and are versatile enough for a day shopping or a special night out. Throw a bo-ho chic wrap over the Carol dress in cooler weather, or wear it with strappy sandals in the summer.

Every woman wants to look beautiful, no matter how petite, full figured or thin she is. Although it doesn’t become possible for every woman to maintain a perfect figure especially after delivery but still they can at least enhance their look by wearing an appealing and right size dress. In fact a rightly worn dress can change the look of any woman for better. Even oversized women if wears the right size dress and appropriate style clothing will look great. Oversized women have a wide variety and styles of dresses to choose from especially when it comes to plus size dresses for evening wear.

The Dafni dress is a Grecian goddess inspired design that will look good on almost every curvy woman figure. It is one of the prettiest of the plus size dresses offered by SWAK. The soft flowing lines drape and fall beautifully with a high waist to add interest and shape. This dress is perfect for a day on the town or a cocktail party. You can dress it up or down with accessories such as chunky jewelry and flats by day, or pair it with a lacy shawl and strappy sandals at night. You have your choice of purple or black to match your mood.

- Hour glass shape: This is an ideal body. Your waist is smaller than your bust and your hips. Twopiece plus size swimwear such as tankinis or skirtinis can be extremely flattering whilst giving the coverage that is desired. A ruched top is a great choice (because it can be ruched tighter to reveal a bit of tummy or let out to cover everything up) and a bottom with full coverage will keep everything in check.
